If what you need is to be closer to your customers and, of course, attract potential followers, there are many ways to generate visits and interaction towards the corporate website through a social network that has much to offer, LinkedIn.
Most organizations, if not all, choose to generate content through Facebook and Twitter but pay less attention to what LinkedIn can offer them in terms of brand exposure.
This social network is full of professionals and companies in all sectors; and it helps users stay on your website for as long as possible, as well as contribute to a higher number of traffic than other virtual communities.
A study by the consulting firm Digital Insights reported that by the end of 2013, 27% of users accessed LinkedIn from their mobile phones, mentioned that there are around three million registered companies, and that 81% of the community belongs to at least one common interest group.
Given these advantages, how can we generate more traffic on this social network? Below are the following guidelines.
- Create a complete profile. All company data about the activity it performs must be included here. Remember that this is the first contact between the user and the brand, so it must make a pleasant impact from the start.
- Add connections. The more clicks per first-degree connections, the higher the traffic to your website. It is not advisable to limit the number of contacts because it will also limit your visibility. It is also recommended to place the links to the information on your page.
- Search for groups related to your brand. On LinkedIn, there are groups with over 500 thousand members, which are the right places to share or link articles not only to relate to the company but also to build its leadership in the industry.
- Create a group. It is a priority task to start building an audience within LinkedIn and generate messages to that audience that you want to retain every time you create it. This way, you will be able to direct traffic from your own in-house information.
- Take advantage of tools and applications. The social network encourages the visibility of your page. Some applications like Slideshare (to show presentations) or Polls (allows you to collect data from your contacts) will give a visual aspect to the latest updates on your site.
Remember that not only Facebook and Twitter are the only channels for the exposure of your brand, with LinkedIn, you can meet more than satisfactory expectations in the future.
